With my background in apparel design, one of my favorite things to illustrate are fashion illustrations. In my time at Threads Magazine I was given then opportunity to create style forecasting illustrations for different season based on in-depth trend reports and research. One of the first freelance jobs I had was creating technical flats for various types of garment patterns. Accuracy and realism is key here so that makers know exactly how the subject material is constructed.

Using graphic design knowledge and repeating pattern illustration techniques, I design original fabric prints for use in every issue of Threads magazine. The prints are also available for purchase in different substrates of fabric through the Spoonflower online store and can be used to make anything and everything where fabric is involved.

In a busy working world, sometimes it's hard to find time to work on different personal pieces just for yourself. However, I find those pieces to be the most satisfying to complete. Here are some personal projects I've made over the years in a range of different mediums: watercolor, pen and ink, graphite, and colored pencil.
